Faith. History. Archaeology. London.

Experience London through the stories that shaped generations of faith.

Legacies of London is more than a sightseeing trip. We explore one of the world’s great cities through the people, places, artifacts, ideas, and turning points that connect London with Christian history, biblical archaeology, and the study of God’s creation.

Along the way, London’s familiar landmarks become part of a much larger story. Westminster Abbey opens a window into centuries of worship, reform, mission, national life, and Christian influence. The British Museum places us face to face with objects from the ancient world of the Bible. The Natural History Museum gives us an opportunity to think carefully about creation, science, origins, and the history of ideas. St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, Parliament, the Thames, and the streets between them add layer after layer to the story.

Your tour is led as a small-group experience, with teaching and conversation built into the places we visit. The goal is not simply to see more of London, but to understand more of what we are seeing and why it matters.

Westminster Abbey in London on the Legacies of London Christian Tour

Christian Heritage in the Heart of London

Walk through places where kings and queens were crowned, reformers preached, missionaries were remembered, abolitionists were honored, and generations gathered for worship. At Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and throughout central London, we connect the architecture and monuments around us with the people and events behind them.

Rather than treating church history as a list of names and dates, we encounter it where it happened—seeing how faith, culture, politics, reform, revival, and mission intersected across the centuries.

Biblical Archaeology You Can See for Yourself

The British Museum holds one of the greatest collections of biblical-world archaeology anywhere. Our time there focuses on objects that illuminate the historical world of Scripture, including material from Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and the ancient Near East.

Instead of rushing from case to case, we slow down at significant artifacts and ask what they are, where they came from, what they say, and how they fit the people and events of the biblical world. The museum becomes a classroom where ancient history is no longer abstract.

Creation, Science, and the History of Ideas

London also gives us a remarkable setting for conversations about origins and the natural world. Inside the Natural History Museum we explore exhibits, architecture, fossils, and the history of scientific thought while considering questions of creation and origins from a biblical perspective.

This is not a separate theme tacked onto the trip. It is one of the three central threads woven throughout Legacies of London: Christian history, biblical archaeology, and creation science.

What You’ll Experience

Christian History

Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, monuments, churches, and the stories of reformers, missionaries, leaders, and movements that shaped Christian history.

Biblical Archaeology

Guided teaching through the British Museum and its ancient Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, and biblical-world collections.

Creation & Science

Thoughtful exploration of origins, natural history, fossils, and the history of scientific ideas in London’s world-class museums.

London Along the Way

Faith and history are at the center of the tour, but this is still London. The experience also includes many of the city’s best-known places and views, with our published itinerary typically incorporating locations such as Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Big Ben and Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St. James’s Park, the London Eye area, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the River Thames.

Daily activities can be rearranged when attraction schedules, closures, transportation, or other practical considerations require it. That flexibility allows us to make the most of the city while preserving the core experience of the tour.

A Tour with Higher Purpose

London contains far more history than any group could absorb in a few days. Our aim is therefore not to collect landmarks. We choose places that help tell a connected story and then take the time to teach, ask questions, notice details, and understand the significance of what is in front of us.

That is what makes Legacies of London different from a standard city vacation. You will certainly see London, but our hope is that you will also leave with a deeper understanding of Christian history, greater confidence engaging the material world of biblical archaeology, and a renewed appreciation for the relationship between God’s Word and the world around us.
